How the other half lived at Audubon State Historic Site Starts on September 14, 2007 at 9:00AM Ends on September 14, 2007 at 1:00PM Learn about the history of the slaves that worked on Oakley Plantation during this program. Discover how important the role of archaeology is to this history and see through demonstrations and displays about what slaves ate, where they slept and get a glimpse into the hardship of life on a cotton plantation.
