Digging Up the Past at Rosedown Plantation Starts on October 6, 2007 at 11:00AM Ends on October 6, 2007 at 3:00PM . Many artifacts from the 1800s have been found at Rosedown. This day is devoted to learning the art of the archaeologist. Visitors will learn how archaeologists find historic artifacts, by participating in an archaeological “dig.” Participants will be shown the proper way to excavate, and record their findings by drawing their “dig site” and the artifacts found.
