This annual event takes place the first full weekend in April. This event specializes in guided birding tours at private homes. Canoeing trips out to Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge. Walking tour of tthe Historic District and the Mississippi River. Photography workshop. Posters available. Danny Heitman will be the Friday night speaker at Audubon State Historic Site. Oakley Plantation will be open all weekend for birdfest participants. A great event for beginners and advanced birders.
