Volunteer Opportunities with the St. Francisville Chamber of CommerceGet more involved with your community -- become a volunteer! Joining a Chamber committee is an excellent way to get involved in the business community. You'll benefit by: - developing new leadership skills
- meeting new people
- developing important business contacts
- supporting your community
Chamber volunteers are real players in helping develop and execute strategic policy initiatives, plan events and in supporting outreach and business development programs. All members in good standing and anyone on their staff are invited to enroll in Chamber committees. Committee meeting schedules vary, but generally committees meet no more than once a month for an hour. Many committees even conduct meetings via e-mail to make the best use of time. Volunteers are expected to: - Actively participate in committee role as assigned by chair
- Attend any event they help organize
- Complete assignments or projects detailed in the Chamber's program of work
- Attend scheduled meetings or contact the chair when unable to attend
- Support and represent the Chamber in a professional manner
- Review relevant materials before meetings and be prepared to report on assigned tasks
